We've been working tirelessly to ensure that all of our customers are using the most secure and reliable systems that are on the internet today. To assist with this we offer FREE SSL Certificates to all of our hosting customers! However, that's only the beginning. Just because you have a certificate, doesn't make your site secure. You also need to ensure that the site is configured to use that certificate when a customer visits. We've taken the time to review and assess each and every site hosted on our infrastructure and updated it to use SSL as required. There were a few tweaks here and there, but mostly everything was a simple, straightforward transition.
Moving forward, each new account created on our services will enable SSL by default and ensure that your customers are always accessing your website with the highest possible security and authenticity.
Toward the end of this year, 2019, with the end of support for legacy software like Windows 7, we will be removing support for non-encrypted email as well. Additional information will be provided as we get closer to the end of the year. Our goal is to be 100% encrypted and secure connections in 2020! This not only helps you and your customers to have a piece of mind while using our services, but provides an additional layer of security for our systems as well. By protecting you, we are also protecting ourselves.
If there are any questions, or if your site is behaving differently after this update, please email us or open a support ticket and we'll be happy to address any issues.
